Everything you need to know about peptide reconstitution
Bacteriostatic Water (BAC Water) is a sterile, non-pyrogenic preparation of water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol. The benzyl alcohol acts as a bacteriostatic agent, preventing the growth of bacteria for up to 28 days after opening when stored properly.
This essential reagent is required for reconstituting lyophilized peptides for research purposes. It provides the appropriate solvent for research compounds while maintaining sterility throughout the research protocol.
Use appropriate volume to achieve desired concentration. Common reconstitution volumes range from 1-2mL per vial of peptide.
Store at room temperature. Keep tightly sealed when not in use. Do not use if solution becomes cloudy.
Benzyl alcohol prevents bacterial growth for up to 28 days. Not effective against all microorganisms - maintain aseptic technique.
Suitable for subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous research protocols using peptides.
Research Use Only: This product is intended exclusively for laboratory research purposes. Not for human consumption. All research must be conducted in controlled laboratory settings by qualified personnel in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
